Pleasant temperatures and sunny skies at the start of this week made it seem more like spring than the middle of December.
But don’t be fooled. While the National Weather Service predicts mostly mild temperatures through Christmas, winter will settle in for the season soon enough.
City officials in Braidwood said that when that snow, ice and sleet finally arrives, the city is ready to take it on.
Braidwood city administrator Tony Altiery said despite the delay in the salt bid, the city is ready to roll once Old Man Winter shows up.
