Wilmington Library summer reading program brings colors to life

School may be out for summer, but children and adults alike are invited to crack open those books with the Wilmington Public Library District over the next few months.

The library’s Summer Reading Program officially kicked off on June 5 with a celebration on the North Island Park.

This year’s theme is Reading Colors Your World.

It looks a little different from years past, but the Summer Reading Program is back in action at the Wilmington Public Library.

Summer Reading kicked off last week and runs through Aug. 7.

This year’s theme is Dig Deeper: Investigate, Read, and Discover! The library is getting into the spirit with dinosaur bones welcoming visitors at the front door.
