Indoor trap range closer to approval

     Diamond’s Planning and Zoning Board heard a proposal on the construction and operation of an indoor trap range, and when the public testimony concluded, it approved the plan, forwarding it to the village board under three conditions.
    Leon Baine, and his wife, Christy, announced their intent to establish a trap range on property they purchased at 2155 E. Division St., the southwest corner of Route 113 and Daley Street.

It’s been about six months since the idea of constructing an indoor trap shooting range was presented to the village of Diamond and in six days the public will have an opportunity to learn more about the proposed business.
Leon Baine and his wife, Christy, approached the village in September 2018 with a proposal to operate a trap shooting training and competition facility. The local couple has secured a vacant parcel of land on the southwest corner of Route 113 and Daly Street with the intention of constructing a 70,000 square-foot facility.
