Wildcat golfers secure win over St. Anne

    The Wilmington varsity golf team wound up splitting two matches this past week, as they picked up a win over St. Anne, but fell to Lisle.
    On Monday, the Wildcats finished 24 strokes under St. Anne, winning 171- 195.
    Ryan Woodall shot a great round, finishing with a three over par 39. Tyler Long and Garrett Roth followed with 42 and 43, respectively, while Nolan Smith rounded out the effort with a 47.
    “We improved to 5-11 on the season,” said WHS coach Mike Wilson. “It was a great all-around effort tonight. I am proud of this team, and it is a pleasure to coach them.”
    Earlier in the week, the Wildcats struggled in their match against Lisle.
    The Wildcats finished with a 205, while the Lions picked up the win with a 175.
    Roth was the low score of the night for the ‘Cats, shooting a 50.
