St. Juvin Post 1336 donates Vietnam history book to library

St. Juvin Post 1336 Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States presented the “Brutal Battles of Vietnam— America's Deadliest Days” book to the Coal City Public Library District.
This anthology, genuinely a one-of-a-kind work, provides a comprehensive one volume history of the United States' trial by fire from 1965 to 1972.
The book was edited by Richard K. Kolb, editor-in-chief of the VFW magazine, with 14 contributing writers whose work appeared in over seven years of VFW publications and won 13 national magazine awards. They detail major battles such as the Tet Offensive and small unit fire-fights that raged seemingly without end. It is a close-up and very personal view of the war told by those who were there.
This volume is the VFW and St. Juvin Post’s contribution to the Department of Defense's 50th Commemoration of the Vietnam War.  St. Juvin Post has been a Commemorative Partner with the Commemoration since 2015.
Post members invite the public to visit the Coal City Public Library and read this important work.
