Ten members of the Reed-Custer High School Class of 2022 have earned the designation of Illinois State Scholar.

The State Scholar Program recognizes students for outstanding academic achievement. State scholar designation provides honorary recognition, and approximately the top 10% of graduates from approved high schools are announced as State Scholars each year.

Students must perform in the top one-half of their high school class at the end of the third semester prior to graduation, and/or score at or above the 95th percentile on the ACT or SAT to be named as State Scholars.

Throughout the fall of 2021, qualified Illinois high school students were designated as 2022-23 State Scholars (high school seniors, who will be college freshmen during the 2022-23 academic year, were named Scholars during the fall of 2021).

Congratulatory letters from ISAC have been mailed to Scholars, and a Certificate of Achievement for each Scholar is provided to high schools.

The RCHS Illinois State Scholars are Julia Begler, Ashley Bollino, Michael Gereaux, Natalie Kulach, Isabella Lardi, Peyton Matthews, Josh Stockin, Ryan Tribble, Jessen Balone, and Ember Van Duyne.
