Open house for retiring fire chief

The community is invited to an open house to honor Fire Chief Ken Heberer on Saturday, June 3, from 1 to 3 p.m., at the Braidwood Fire Department, 275 W. Main St.

Chief Heberer will be retiring after provided more than 45 years of dedicated service to the Braidwood Fire Protection District.

Cake and punch will be served.
