IDPH: 18 COVID-19 cases in Wilmington and Braidwood

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced on Monday 1,980 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Illinois, including 50 additional deaths. Deaths include three people in Will County: 1 male 50s, 1 male 70s, and 1 female 80s.

According to the map released on Monday by the IDPH, the total number of positive tests in the 60481 zip code are 12, out of 101 tests administered, a positive rate of 11.8% of those who have been tested.

In the 60408 zip code, the total positive tests are listed at six as of Monday, out of 70 tests administered. That's 8.5% positive rate of those tested.

The state's report does not list deaths by zip code, but only by county. In Will County, 136 deaths have been recorded. Statewide, 1,983 people have died due to COVID-19.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 45,883 cases in 96 counties in Illinois. The age of cases ranges from younger than one to older than 100 years.  Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have processed 12,676 specimens for a total of 227,628.
