The Reed-Custer varsity boys soccer team put up a valiant fight Monday night, but came up short 2-1 to Joliet Catholic Academy.
The Comets recording seven shots on net, while JCA had 10.
By halftime, the score was separated by one goal, as JCA slotted their first for the 1-0 lead.
In the second half, Reed-Custer got on the board thanks to a goal from Christian Williams, assisted by Gabe Nagel.
Unfortunately, JCA would hold on to a one-goal lead in the second half, winning the game, and handing Reed-Custer their 14th loss of the season.
