As the state of Illinois begins to re-open under phase three of Gov. JB Pritzker’s Restore Illinois plan, local municipalities are extending a hand to businesses looking to offer outdoor dining.
Restaurants and bars that were formerly set to only be able to maintain curbside pickup can now operate outdoors with a full wait staff. Coal City Village Administrator Matt Fritz said this has been something the town has wanted to be able to accommodate as soon as businesses got the go ahead to move forward.
