Ronald L. Hamilton

MURPHYSBORO—Ronald L. Hamilton, 55, of Murphysboro and formerly of Coal City and Carbon Hill area, passed away at Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro.
Ronald was born Aug. 3, 1963, in Morris to Paul E. Hamilton and Melba L. (Grosvenor) Hamilton. He was a pipefitter and a member of the Pipefitters Local #597 in Chicago. Ron was a member of The Ridge Church near Carbondale. He was an avid Cardinals fan and he liked to fish.
Ron is survived by his father, Paul, of Murphysboro; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert W. and Suzanne Hamilton, of Coal City; three nieces and one nephew: Tamara L. (David) Crater, Brooke (Kevin) Young and Shawn (Nichole) Hamilton, all of Coal City and Hope Ann (Michael) Parks, of Crawfordsville, IN and nine great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, one brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Carol Hamilton; one sister, Janice Hamilton and his grandparents, Clarence and Mamie Hamilton and Lester and Anna Grosvenor.
Grave site services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018 at Glenn Cemetery near Raddle with Rev. Wes Henson officiating. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. at Pettett Funeral Home, 1418 South St., Murphysbor.
