Norma A. Sisk

COAL CITY—Norma A. Sisk, 88, of Coal City, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2019 at Morris Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was born on Nov. 18, 1930 in Streator, IL to Walter and Elsie (nee Johanson) Carlson. She was raised in Kinsman and graduated from Mazon High School class of 1948. Norma married Clair “Gus” Sisk on Feb. 11, 1950 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kinsman. Together they raised their four children in the Coal City area. Norma and Gus enjoyed camping and traveling together during their 52 year marriage, until his passing in 2002. Norma was a diehard Chicago Bulls fan. She was a devoted Grandmother who liked to play card games with her grandchildren and enjoyed attending their sporting events.
Norma is survived by her children: Donna (Tod) Gabehart, of Mazon; Ed (Val) Sisk, of Washington, TX; Terry (Sheri) Sisk, of Morris and Rick (Angela) Sisk, of Mazon; her grandchildren: Ben (Jacki) Sisk, Kelly Sisk, Ashley (Erik) Terstriep, Katelyn Sisk, Jason (Katie) Houck, Wade (Natalie) Sisk, Heather (Chris) Trovinger, Alan (Jessica) Gabehart, Katie Gabehart, Matt Gabehart, and numerous great- grandchildren with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Memorials in Norma's name may be directed to the Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, 2019 at the Ferrari Funeral Chapel, 1044 Ferrari Dr., Coal City with Deacon William Dunn officiating. Burial will follow at Braceville/Gardner Cemetery.
