Mary Yeager

JOLIET—Mary Nell Yeager, 78, of Joliet and formerly of Coal City, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Born Nov. 3, 1938 in Litchfield, Kentucky, Mary Nell was a daughter of Edward and Anna (Carter) Shain. She was raised in Coal City and worked for the Holiday Inn in Joliet for 25 years until her retirement.
In her free time, Mary enjoyed working on puzzles, painting by number and visiting the casinos, where she spent countless hours playing penny slots. Mary will be most remembered for her love of spending time with family.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years: Michael; four children: LaVerne (Cindy) Studyvin, Joseph Yeager, and Cale (Michelle) Yeager of Joliet, and Dorann (Edward) Wysocki of Shorewood; eighteen grandchildren: Leeann Hall of Joliet, Linda Lamar, DeDeann Wheatly, DeWayne Studyvin, Jr., Patricia Grimes, John Studyvin, Michael Studyvin, Jennifer Studyvin, Thomas Studyvin and Suzanne Studyvin all of Kentucky, Ashley Yeager, Krista Phillips and Ryan Studyvin of Joliet, Corey Yeager of Wisconsin, Joshua Yeager and A.J. Yeager of Joliet, and William Wysocki and Evan Wysocki of Shorewood; numerous great-grandchildren; six brothers: Cleve Shain, Charlie Shain, Billy Shain, DeWayne Shain, Ronald Shain and Michael Shain; two sisters: Lilly Murphy and Barbara Shain, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; two sons: DeWayne Studyvin and Mark Studyvin; one brother: Eddie Shain; one great-grandson: Damian Adkins; her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Raymond and Dora Yeager, and brother-in-law Richard VanGundy.
Family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 from 9 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Pastor Bradley Shumaker will officiate.
Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Joliet.
Pallbearers will be: Corey Yeager, Joshua Yeager, A.J. Yeager, William Wysocki, Evan Wysocki and Jacob Hall.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Mary's memory to her family for their distribution.
