Marlene M. Schulz

BRAIDWOOD—Marlene M. Schulz (nee Forsythe), 72, of Braidwood, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Symphony of Joliet in Joliet.  
Marlene was born July 22, 1945 in Norwich, England. She retired from Laundry Concepts in 2006.  She was vice president of the Braidwood Seniors. She enjoyed cross stitching, arts and crafts and attending the local library programs.  
Surviving are her husband, Richard, who she married Oct. 30, 1965 in Chicago, IL; her mother, Joyce (nee Sutherland) Forsythe, of Mackinaw, IL; son, John (Teri) Schulz, of Lockport, IL; daughter, Christine (James) Gawel, of Worth, IL; eight grandchildren: Brenna, Danielle, Nick, Ryan, Peyton, Ethan, Hannah and Lauren; brother, Stephen (Patricia) Forsythe, of Mackinaw; sister, JoAnne (Louis) Ferroli, of Rockford, IL; and several nieces and nephews.  
Preceding her in death was her father, Gerald Forsythe.  
Visitation will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory Monday, April 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with funeral services at 1 p.m.  
Interment will follow in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL at 2:30 p.m.  
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in her name may be directed to Joliet Area Community Hospice.
