Lillie E. Flaynik

WILMINGTON—Lillie E. Flaynik, 82, of Wilmington and formerly of Joliet, passed away Monday, May 19, 2020 at Salem Village.
Born Aug. 10, 1937 in Joliet, Lillie Ellen was a daughter of Roy M. and Bernice (nee Hendrickson) Herr. She was raised and educated in Joliet. Lillie worked as a CNA and held employment at the Joliet Terrace. Lillie was fond of traveling when she could, and enjoyed spending time in her garden.
Survivors include her daughters, Ellen Beard, of Coal City and Victoria Miller, of Windsor, CO; seven grandchildren: Jason (Kristie) Beard, Matthew (Brittany) Beard, Amanda Pearce, Stuart (Kristina), Jessica Miller (Kevin), Adam (Amanda) Miller and Shannon (Kevin) Rich; 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way; one older sister, Grace Barnes, of Ottawa who is 88 years old; sister-in-law, Judi Herr, of Streator; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Lillie was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter, Teddi Jo; one sister, Bernice Hamilton; three brothers: Thomas Herr, John Herr and Roy Herr.
Green flameless cremation rites have been accorded, and a celebration of life is being planned for a later date. Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.
