Leonard J. Semetulskis

WILMINGTON—Leonard J. Semetulskis, 74, of Wilmington, passed away Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 at his home.
Born Nov. 29, 1942 in Chicago, Leonard John was the son of Stanley and Bernice (nee Ragainis) Semetulskis. He was raised and educated in Chicago, and graduated from Saint Rita of Cascia High School with the class of 1960. Leonard started his career as a medical laboratory technician with Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago, and would later gain employment with Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, with whom he was employed until his retirement. In his younger years, he enjoyed going hunting and fishing with family, and loved taking trips to Door County, WI. When Leonard wasn’t working, he cherished spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea G. (nee Carter) Semetulskis, of Wilmington; five children: Steve (Joy) Semetulskis, of Lemont; Scott (Susan) Semetulskis, of Mokena; Stuart (Mary) Semetulskis, of Lemont; Sandra (Tim) McCaffrey, of Oswego and Sheila (Glen) Faulhaber, of Romeoville; two step-sons: Anthony Nardella, of Yuma, AZ and Corey Nardella, of Alpharetta, GA; four grandchildren: Adam (fiance Heather McDade) Semetulskis, of Lemont; Sarah Semetulskis, of Lemont; Kate Semetulskis, of Mokena and Cole Faulhaber, of Romeoville; one sister: Susan (Robert) Maciulis, of Lemont and several cousins whom Leonard was very close with.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation and video tribute will be Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017 at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 E. Kahler Rd., in Wilmington from 4 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral.
