Free child identification

Local Free Masons will hold a child identification event on Saturday, Aug. 19 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Masonic Temple at 311 N. Main Street in Wilmington.
The Illinois Child Identification Program (IL CHIP) provides information that can be used if a child goes missing. All of the information is kept by the parents and includes fingerprints, a DNA sample, information about weight and height, a still picture and video of the child saved to a USB thumb drive.
After being processed, the children and their parents are invted to join the Masons in the basement fellowship hall for ice cream.
This program is completely free and the officers of Wilmington Masonic Lodge encourage all the parents in the community to seriously consider bringing their young children to the IL CHIP event.
