Frank Roudis

MORRIS—Frank Roudis, 75, of Morris, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood.
Born July 22, 1943 in Morris, Frank was the son of Frank Sr. and Virginia Roudis. He was raised and educated in Morris, and on Oct. 26, 1963 Frank married June Carol Rhodes at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris. He worked for Federal Paper Board for 13 years before gaining employment with the Department of Corrections in Saint Charles, where he worked for 23 years until retiring in 2002. Frank also co-owned and operated the Grundy County Ambulance Service, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Morris and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
He was an avid sports fan, supporting Notre Dame football and women's basketball, as well as the Chicago White Sox and all Morris High School Athletics. Frank also enjoyed pleasure craft boating and playing card games, especially Euchre.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, June Roudis, of Morris; two sons, Scott (Karen) Roudis and Bryan (Holly) Roudis, both of Morris; four grandchildren: Keri Roudis, Skyler Roudis, Abby Valerio and Sarah Elzer, all of Morris; two great-grandchildren, Grace and Jayce Young; brother-in-law, Robert (Debra) Rhodes, of Dwight; sister-in-law, Nancy (Sam) Shelton-Young, of Diamond; special cousin, Nancy Raemisch of Weeki Wachee, FL; best friend, Pat Connor, of Gulfport, MI and several nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Dorothy Rhodes and a son in infancy, James Roudis.
Visitation and video tribute will be Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019 at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 E. Washington St., one block east of IL Route 47 in Morris, between the hours of 4 and 8 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Ed Howe, CR presiding. Interment will follow in Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, Morris.
