Darwin J. Lang

COAL CITY— Darwin J. Lang, 81, of Coal City, passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Born May 12, 1940 in Butte, Montana, Darwin John was the son of John and Esther Lang. He was raised and educated in Butte, Montana and would serve honorably in the United States Navy before going on to marry Sharon Kinser on Oct. 30, 1960. He held employment at Caterpillar tractor company for 32 years. Darwin enjoyed making different types of pens, caring for any animal he could find. He had a touch of orneriness yet he loved other’s even if they were not family.
Survivors include one daughter, Sandra (the late Dennis) Beckman; one grandchild, Steve Beckman; and Eric Bauer who was like family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sharon Lang in 2012.
Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded.
