Bruce Johnson

ELROY, WI—Bruce N. Johnson ,78, of rural Elroy, WI, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018 at his home.
Bruce was born on Nov. 25, 1939 to Floyd “Whitey” and Ruby (Thompson) Johnson in the Town of Plymouth, Juneau County, WI.  He grew to adulthood in Wilmington and graduated from the Wilmington High School.
Bruce was united in marriage to Dianne Sims on May 21, 1960 in Joliet.  They lived at Taylorville where they raised three daughters.   
Bruce worked as a shift engineer manager for Commonwealth Edison - Kincaid Station for many years prior to retiring back to Wisconsin.
He was a soft spoken, humble man who had great interest in many things.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, riding motorcycle, playing euchre, reading, was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved to travel to different places of the world.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne; daughters, Lisa Price (William Hamell) of Taylorville and Jennifer (Jerry) Smith of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Lauren, Ryan (Jenna), Olivia and Giavanna; siblings, Eileen O'Reilly, James (Donna) Johnson and Gloria (Al) Abraham and many nieces and nephews.  
He was preceded in death by his Parents and daughter, Judith Ann Johnson.
A celebration of Bruce's life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018 at 10:30 a.m., during the Worship Service at East Lemonweir Lutheran Church, W8943 Cty. Hwy. S (between Elroy and New Lisbon), with Rev. Wendy Ruetten officiating.
