Bonnie LaShure

WILMINGTON—Bonnie LaShure, 69, of Wilmington, passed away from cancer at her home on Monday, Dec. 31, 2018.
Born June 20, 1949 in Fort Dodge, IA, Bonnie was a daughter of Russell and Alice (Doyen) Jessee. She grew up on the family farm southwest of Pocahontas, IA and graduated from Pocahontas Community High School with the class of 1967. Following high school, Bonnie went on to attend medical x-ray school in Minneapolis, MN. She resided in several places before settling in the Chicago area. Bonnie worked for Johnson and Johnson Personal Products in Wilmington and later Diageo Distillery. She enjoyed sports, and was an avid Chicago Bears, Bulls and Cubs fan. Bonnie also enjoyed motorcycling and was proud of her Harley Davidson Sportster.
Survivors include her loving companion, John I. Fleet and his son, Marshal Dunkin-Fleet; one son, Lonnie LaShure, of Joliet; sisters: Colleen Kirch, of Raytown, MO; Shirley DeWall (Marvin), of Palmer, IA; brother, Olan Jessee, of Fonda, IA; nephews: Eric DeWall (Lindsay), of Palmer, IA; Michael DeWall (Arligh), of Parkersburg, IA; David Jessee (Jo), of Cochrane, WI and niece, Jill Dinkla (Dylan), of Urbandale, IA.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, Joe Kirch and sister-in-law, Ardis Jessee.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A memorial visitation will be held at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 E. Kahler Rd. in Wilmington on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019 from 4 p.m. until the time of Bonnie’s Celebration of Life at 7 p.m. Pastor Dan Johnson from Restoration Christian Church will officiate.
