Beverley D Davis

Beverley D. Davis “Bev”, 72, of Wilmington passed away Wednesday Nov. 15, 2017 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.
Born June 2, 1945 in Dieterich, Illinois, Beverley Diann is a daughter of Rosie (nee Schultz) and the late John Warren Chesnut. She was raised and educated in Joliet, and graduated from Joliet Township High School with the Class of 1963. On March 22, 1985, Bev married Frank Wayne Davis in Joliet. She was employed by Ecolab in Joliet for 30 years until she retired in 2007. Bev loved to play bingo, and became a big fan of the Chicago Cubs during their World Series run in 2016. She will be remembered for her love of cats, and for being a supporter of the Humane Society.
Survivors include her mother: Rosie Chesnut of Minooka; her husband: Frank Davis of Wilmington; one daughter: Kimberly Gornik of Wilmington; three grandchildren: Nathan, Natalie and Nicholas Gornik, all of Wilmington; two brothers: Kent (Rhonda Dhamm) Chesnut of Dieterich, Illinois and Gregg (Liz) Chesnut of Channahon; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Bev was preceded in death by her father John; sister: Donna (Chuck Wilda) Chesnut; sister-in-law: Carol Chesnut; and son-in-law: Perry Gornik.
Visitation will be Friday Nov. 17, 2017 at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington between the hours of 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be Saturday Nov. 18, 2017 in the funeral home at 10 a.m., with Pastor Bradley Shumaker officiating. Burial will follow the funeral in Oakwood Cemetery – Sunset Addition, Wilmington.
