Your local food pantry is running out of food and it couldn’t be happening at a worse time.
Demand from families who are less fortunate has more than doubled, and supply chain issues for some items are making it difficult for Kuzma Care Cottage in Wilmington to fill the need.
“On average we serve 200 families in a month,” said director Heather Hobbs. “But recently that has increased to 150 families per week with many more senior citizens. We’re at a point where we need to let the community know we need help.”
