Some Braidwood area families said they would like to see an adjustment to how Halloween is celebrated this year.
On Sept. 28, Braidwood resident Erica Bolatto presented the members of the Braidwood City Council with a petition for changing the date of trick or treating this year, hoping to bump the date to a Saturday instead of Oct. 31, which falls on a Sunday.
“For those of us with school kids who trick-or-treat, school nights are rough for trick-or-treating,” Bolatto said. “I have a lot of parents who also agree.”
